Fostered last year through orchard care. Fantastic support from their amazing staff who were always on hand to help make the process as simple as possible. They do such an amazing job of making a huge difference to so many peoples lives. If you're looking at becoming a foster parent don't hesitate to use this company. Thank you to Sarah and the team for doing such an amazing job.

The level of support offered to the children and carers of Orchard care is excellent and benefits both in many ways. I have also found them to be both helpful and professional to work with and hope to continue doing so for many years to come.

Shell, Carer in East Durham

Hi, I’m Shell, I joined Orchard Care Fostering during Lockdown and it has been a great experience over the last few years. I have made many new friends and received great support from Orchard Care, this is an agency that is very person-centred based which I love and I look forward to many more years of being part of the Orchard family.

I am a single non-binary carer and I never believed I could foster but I have never looked back!

My Bond with Binky.

This is Binky, he arrived as a stray kitten just before I moved in with my foster carers and has been my own cat for two years. He follows me everywhere, stands at the gate when I leave for school and waits for me coming home. He always knows when I'm sad and he cuddles me and makes me feel better, he is like a hot water bottle. Binky always wants to be with me. He loves to catch mice and often tries to bring them in the house to give me to me. Binky likes to go for walks with us and sometimes sits in the basket of my bike. He likes to dress up as Superman although the other humans in the house say no.
